As a member of the Wells Fargo Advisors network, we draw upon the vast resources of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., one of the nation’s largest banks. The Robinson Financial Group helps connect business owners and CFOs with private banking, cash management, investment, and lending solutions.
Liquidity and Tax Management.png
With most of their net worth invested in their businesses, business owners value our ability to help them manage their liquidity and tax management needs. We also provide specialized guidance in the areas of commercial real estate, employee stock option plans (ESOPs), medical and dental practices, and specialized lending.
Key Employee Retention.png
The Robinson Financial Group goes above and beyond the basic investment management and insurance services offered by most. We strive to understand your unique business demographics and employee needs, then help tailor solutions that go beyond a simple investment product sale. These advanced solutions are designed to help enhance recruitment and retention of key employees.

Additionally, The Robinson Financial Group assists in identifying tax deferral opportunities through high-level options such as profit sharing, deferred compensation, and defined benefit plans. We help you understand the risks associated with frozen pension plans and help convert the plans to more productive solutions.
Business Succession Planning.png
At The Robinson Financial Group, we prepare business owners years in advance of their ultimate business exit. As a Certified Exit Planning Accredited (CEPA®) professional, Leo Robinson draws upon a team of internal and external partners to help you understand the multitude of business succession options available, whether that be a transition to family, to employees (ESOPs), or to third-party private buyers. From transferring ownership options to tax efficiency questions, our team and our network of trusted professionals can guide you to a business succession plan which best suits your needs.

Through our Wells Fargo banking resources, we help business owners and buyers access specialized funding needed to finalize a business sale. We work with you to construct plans for various life events, helping protect you no matter what transpires.
Investment and Risk Management HL.png
The Robinson Financial Group goes beyond basic portfolio management by providing you with a comprehensive review of your cash flow, liquidity, and investment risks and needs. We also understand you have different challenges and needs than those of a traditional investor. Therefore, we have extensive experience in managing profit sharing, pension and deferred compensation plans, and the specific challenges those plans have.
Investment Management.png
Given that much of a business owner’s net worth is tied up in their business, we manage your cash and investable assets with this in mind. Your need for liquidity, employee bonuses, and tax payments require customized investment portfolios that meet the unique needs of your business and family needs. We put measures in place to help you work toward a potential liquidity event and advise you on building capital for buyouts and future investment in the company.
Risk Management.png
As a Certified Exit Planning Accredited (CEPA®) professional, Leo Robinson understands the importance of unlocking the value of a business through effective risk management. Where many advisors simply refer to insurance brokers who sell commercial policies, The Robinson Financial Group works independently with the goal of uncovering and helping mitigate risks to your business’ value. We work to protect you and your business through advanced estate planning and insurance solutions.

Liquidity Event Planning TEXT.png

Client Need.png
A client’s family member referred Lee, a tech entrepreneur, who was getting ready to sell his business and needed help preparing for this significant liquidity event. He wanted to be able to leave the business on his terms and at an optimal time in his life. Lee understood the importance of obtaining an accurate valuation and employing strategies to maximize the value of the business, as well as planning for the significant tax implications.

Liquidity Event Planning.png

Our Solution.png
We helped Lee look at the transaction with special consideration given to personal income and tax implications. Leo Robinson holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) designation, which equipped him to provide Lee with guidance around the valuation, sale, tax and estate considerations, and other opportunities he was weighing, including structuring the sale as an Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP). Our planning process started with personal and business goals, as well as an assessment of Lee’s exit readiness.

We subsequently identified exit options best aligned for Lee’s situation. We developed an investment plan and diversified well balanced allocation tailored to his objectives to grow his family’s new wealth in a socially responsible way and to provide secure income while he was finding his next opportunity. We also developed a comprehensive estate plan strategy to ensure that the wealth Lee worked so hard for would transfer to his family in the most efficient way.
Growing Company.png

Client Need.png
Eileen is a current client of ours and the owner of an engineering firm. Together with her two partners, they have seen the company grow from the three of them to 25 employees. In one of her regular reviews with our team, Eileen requested our advice on what strategies she could employ to help retain employees, and what options she had to manage company risk regarding cash and liquidity.

Our Solution.png
First, we brought in Eileen’s other two partners and reviewed their employee benefits coverage together. We helped them establish a new 401(k) for the company which helped save money and offered more choices for their employees. Since we had all three partners together, we set up a deferred compensation profit sharing plan for them and worked with each partner individually to develop investment plans around their unique retirement goals and time horizons.

Next, we conducted a business risk assessment and found a high-to-moderate amount of risk in how the company was managing their cash. They had large assets tied up with their local bank, and Eileen agreed that she wanted to improve returns on cash investments. We brought in private bankers and specialists through Wells Fargo Advisors to help diversify their business banking and liquidity options and ultimately make the company’s cash work better for them.
